Maestro Diego Barbosa-Vásquez is an internationally recognized Opera, Orchestra, and Ballet Conductor and visionary arts leader. Profiled by Forbes as a "Natural-born Leader," he is the General Director of the Performing Arts Laboratory, Music Director of The Americas Chamber Orchestra, and Music and Artistic Director of the Bloomington Opera Camp. His unique career bridges his active guest conducting role at international podiums with his role as Ambassador of Colombia's Country Brand, a Doctor of Music, and an Affiliated Scholar with the Nobel Prize-winning Ostrom Workshop, where he pioneers research on the sustainability of Performing Arts.
